Heartbreak Ridge

In my opinion Heartbreak Ridge is one of the most impressive films. I have watched this production a lot of times, but I still can not answer the question, what made it such a unique atmosphere, I'm curious about your opinions, that's why I'm putting you online for free and I'm waiting for your answers in the comments. I sat in the cinema for a long time after the movie ended, reflecting on my thoughts, and returned home in a calm and meditative mood. Heartbreak Ridge filled me with hard to explain energy, made me so embedded in it. I walked into this movie totally blind. I knew nothing about it, even never saw a trailer... Marine Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Highway (Clint Eastwood) has been in the Corps since the Korean War and would like to see some action and a victory before he retires. He requests to be transferred to the unit of which he was once busted out. Upon arriving, Commanding Officer Major Malcolm Powers (Everett McGill) knows of Highway's reputation, especially of his lack of respect for his superiors, and warns him that he is going to keep an eye on him. Highway's assigned to train a recon unit which consists mostly of deadbeats. But Highway's determined to turn them into true Marines and they are not exactly pleased with him, at first.
