There is probably no person in the world who hasn't heard about this movie. I have watched this production a lot of times, but I still can not answer the question, what made it such a unique atmosphere, I'm curious about your opinions, that's why I'm putting you online for free and I'm waiting for your answers in the comments. These days, new movies that come to cinema's, does not have 'something' that is hidden in this movie. The Black Castle filled me with hard to explain energy, made me so embedded in it. I walked into this movie totally blind. I knew nothing about it, even never saw a trailer... After watching the movie end, you'll be truely surprised.
