I can tell you that this movie is really great. I remember that I was very impressed when I saw it for the first time... It is a movie that truly knows what it is and wastes not even a second in conveying what that is. It is really hard not to enjoy watching My Teacher, Mr. Kim. The quintessence of My Teacher, Mr. Kim are conversations that stand out from other elements. There are films that you are considering mainly about how to evaluate them. They aim between 6 and 8 and after a longer thinking, in fact, you see that you were having fun and in total, had some good aspects, so the 'six' is not satisfying, but he did not discover anything new and had some disadvantages, so he did not already deserves the 'eight'.
